The magnetic lap receiver is an instrument designed to be used on tracks equipped with magnetic strips. When passing over a magnetic strip, the sensor installed on your vehicle (usually a kart) generates an electrical pulse. If the track is equipped with more than one magnetic strip, the sensor will generate more than one pulse per lap and you will be able to capture split times.
